I absolutely refuse to bore you with explaining why I started this blog in the first place. It's none of your business, and, frankly, if you read the following posts that will gradually appear on this page at all, you will most likely discover the reason soon enough. Suffice to say, I'm a writer: and since my Muse has abandoned me for now, I need to let free the words somehow or other...even if it is only on a blog instead of in a fantasy book of my own creation.
Aside from that...hello new friends! Thanks for making the attempt to read this...I don't promise to always make sense, but I do promise to make this blog as interesting as possible, in spite of the unlucky fact that it was made for the purpose of recording whatever the heck is happening in my life. So let's get started...after this post, once I've explained a few things, events should get more interesting. (I'm starting college soon, after all; if it doesn't get interesting by then I'm doomed to a life of dull gloom.)
Firstly: ME! Well...not really...well yes. It is my blog after all...okay. I'm not really used to talking about myself in a lot of detail, so even though it's easier through writing, I have to get used to it. In a week or so, I'm going to be a freshman studying Creative Writing at a Christian college here down south. It wasn't the college I'd originally chosen, but with parents and costs and not being able to drive...this was how things balanced out, and it's definitely better than nothing. For most of the summer-except for the month of June where I worked at Old Navy...ew. I am not much of a salesperson-I've been working at the university doing custodial from 8-5 every weekday. *t's not an easy job-white-gloving, backpack vacuuming, and discovering cockroaches that fly in a men's disgusting bathroom-but it's work and the crew I worked with this summer made it worth the discomfort. (Plus...money. Yeah, a college kid can never forget the balance of money to everything.)
Friendwise, I'm doing okay...so far I've kept in contact with everyone I graduated with in May. Well...not everyone. That's impossible, plus there are always those few pesky people you didn't quite get along with...oh well! However, I'm the type of person that tends to only have a few close friends that I stalk and they are completely cool with it: right now, that group consists of my boyfriend Daniel, my best friend/fellow warrior with tooooo many lady friends BenZ, and sometimes my neighbor Megan. Oddly enough, whenever I'm with one I'm not with the others...but that's fine. I'm not sure if this group all together would get along that well so it might be best not to take chances. I'm usually open to making more friends...it's not the easiest thing for me, since I'm shy except I look like I'm all proud and up in everyone's kool-aid, but people eventually get how things go and it works out. :)
As for family...wow....what can I say? My sister Hannah and I are close, my Mum and I are super close, and my Dad...he's special, but he's my Dad so we make do.
